Mohamed and his team (Alisdair and Chris) have been amazing. I have two properties rented out by them. They have gone out of their way to deal with any issues I’ve had and dealt with it courteously and promptly. With regards to getting tenants, they listen to your remit, and have been proactive in getting appropriate tenants which I have had difficulties with past letting agents. Whenever I call Mohammed, he gives me excellent and honest advice, and always goes above and beyond what is required of him. We recently moved out of a property rented through Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) after over three years as responsible tenants.

The check-out process with the Battersea branch was, without exaggeration, the most aggressive and money-driven experience we have ever had with a letting agent. Despite taking genuine care of the property and maintaining it to a high standard throughout our tenancy, KFH attempted to charge us for virtually everything they possibly could.

It felt less like a fair assessment and more like a deliberate attempt to maximise deductions. There was no sense of balance, no reasonable discussion — just an overwhelming focus on extracting money.

In particular, our dealings with the branch manager, Tatiana, were extremely disappointing. We did not feel listened to or treated with any goodwill as long-term tenants.

Based on our experience, we would strongly caution anyone considering renting through this branch. Make sure your inventory is watertight, document everything, and be prepared for a fight at the end of your tenancy.

KFH promised much and some of the staff were engaging and possessed good communication skills which suggested that they would do what they stated. Sadly, they did not do this and put forward an inappropriate 'tenant' that did not truly exist. It was a rapid tenant proposal, indicating limited investigation or validation. There was poor financial evidence. Much of this process seems to have been done by other companies and there was no consistent KFH governance/ oversight. Once in the house it was used by multiple people against the direct instruction for a family tenant. The property suffered much damage, memories of a house and home were ruined and finally the 'tenant' was evicted.
Despite all of this KFH state that they did a good job, charged their commission despite not fulfilling what was instructed. It seems there is limited reflection within the company as to how they could have done this better and seem to accept that a house may be 'trashed' and KFH have no accountability.

I have recently exchanged on my property sale after a traumatic year culminating in my previous purchaser dropping out on the day of exchange.
The sellers of my proposed property purchase gave me a weeks grace before listing the property.
The West Wickham team, especially Harry worked tirelessly to find a buyer in that time. Fortunately for me they did and I cannot thank them enough for their excellent service.

We’ve had a great experience with our new property manager, Vyara Panayotova. She has been very supportive, responsive, and always checks to make sure everything is okay with us. It’s reassuring to have someone so helpful and attentive managing the property. Really appreciate her professionalism and care. Highly recommended!

Like every landlord , my relationship with my Managing agent is “well, when I don’t hear much from them and don’t have to fight about wrong charges/ expensive maintenance/ long gaps, then they are doing their job”.
