Marks Mobile Butchers Delivery Reviews 

The items I purchased have been delivered on time, but that is the only good thing I can say about the products.
The sausages, whole marinated chicken and marinated lamb steaks have so many preservatives and E numbers in them. (E451, E221, E300, E120, E621, E223, E301, E331)

I'm truly shocked and disgusted with the fact that they are pumping their foods with water and insect dye to make them look bigger and fresher than they actually are.
For anyone that wants to eat cleaner and healthier, i would not recommend buying from this company.
I'll never buy from them again.

meat was only fit to cut into small pieces for stews or kebabs full of sinue, fatty and grissly the dogs enjoyed it, won't be ordering again.

I placed my first order with Marks Mobile Butchers Delivery this week based on the details the company give on their website and the Trust Pilot reviews. Their advert has come up maybe 60 times on Facebook, and I'd had enough of supermarket meat which quite frankly is awful.
I went for the mega freezer pack and an add-on of ribeye steaks. There is a 15% discount on first orders, although it can take 5 - 10 minutes before the code arrives via email. Total was around £115 with discount
Ordering was straightforward. I ordered on Monday evening for Wednesday delivery and had a confirmation email sent on Tuesday afternoon to confirm the order was dispatched.
Order arrived next day in the afternoon, and the packaging didn't match what is advertised. Came in a cardboard padded box, with no thermal lining. Cool packs had defrosted and internal temperature of the box was around 8 degrees C which isn't good. I had a dog food delivery at the same time, and that came still frozen and around -12 degrees C on arrival, so packaging needs to meet what is advertised, not save money by not adding the thermal sleeve. Meat kept at 8 degrees C for a few hours can be unsafe, so better packaging would help.
On arrival, there is a lot of meat, I've filled my freezer and the spare space in my small chest freezer.
Onto the contents. This is another point where what is advertised and what is delivered differs. What is advertised is that the meat is sourced from local abattoirs and large wholesalers in bulk, every item delivered is from the EU, so no local abattoirs were used to fill my box. Please don't take this as a bad thing, it's my expectation over what was delivered. You basically get something that looks like you had a good ole time at Costco and your wallet suffered because of it.
My gripes about the box are few and personal preference, rather than any issues with the quality or quantity of the meat.
Ribeye and Sirloin steaks are 7oz steaks. Personally I would like 8-10oz steaks. Butchery isn't brilliant, but that's wholesale for you, and the meat is good quality, cooks well and tastes great.
Pork Loin steaks, again butchery isn't great with a big difference in size between largest and smallest (some need 2 for a meal, others just 1). Meat needs to be medium at most and rested for 10 minutes otherwise it can be a little tough, but still tasty.
Mince, doesn't break down that well which for pies, chilli etc needs a lot more work, but great for smash burger. After 17 hours of cooking (I like a long slow cooked chilli) there were still lumps, but again taste is good.
Minted Lamb Steaks, these boneless steaks must have come from a lamb trained by Arnie. Huge in size which makes the age questionable but again great taste. I personally prefer hoggett to lamb as I like the intenser flavour that comes with maturity (and I don't mind paying more for it).
Chicken fillets, these massively vary in size from a small fillet you'd pay £3 for from a local supermarket to something that is closer to a turkey in size. Again butchery is questionable but flavour is good. I'm mainly going to use for curries and fajitas so in most cases 1 breast will do 2 days.
Bacon, now this is supermarket comparable as it has been injected with water so its not "butchers" bacon. However to compare to supermarket bacon is an injustice, as the thick cut packs I received cook really well, a tiny amount of brine comes out in the cooking, but end product is lovely. If I was served this in a restaurant I'd be overjoyed.
Sausages, decent quality pork sausages. I've only tried a couple and my personal preference would be Lincolnshire or Cumberland, but that my preference. I have no issues with them and they taste good.
Overall (sorry for the essay but I wanted to be thorough) the ordering process is simple, getting your discount code for a first order can take 10 minutes. Packaging should be as advertised which mine didn't, so that needs improving as a 6 or 7 hour delay in delivery could mean the meat is 15 - 20 degrees before it gets to you (which is bad).
Meat quality is good, everything very tasty but butchery isn't great. Expect different sizes and shapes which need more care when cooking. It would be nice to have an option for steak sizes, as most people expect 8oz or above, but everything I received was between 6-7oz
Meat I received was all wholesale and all EU, so nothing British in there (all Beef was raised and slaughtered in Ireland though).
Would I order again. Yes. Given the quantity and quality received it's excellent value for money.
Would I pay more for British produce - Yes
Would I recommend Marks Mobile Butchers Delivery - Yes

First delivery was great, very quick and efficient and the meat has been incredible.
Whole fillet of beef has proven to be more cost effective than buying small cuts from the supermarket.

The chicken breast are massive and is much better than supermarket choices.

Just had my first order and have already made cannelloni with the extra lean mince, absolutely delicious. I ordered lamb legs, diced beef, mince, minted lamb steaks and chicken breasts and the quality of the meat is as good as what used to be my local butcher ( I moved and now don't have anyone local.) I am not happy to shop at supermarkets and much prefer to shop with independent businesses. I have to say I was a bit dubious but I will absolutely be a regular customer with a monthly order.

First order. All good so far. Only a week in so no eaten much of it yet.

Great communication. Meat arrived on time. I have only tried the smoked streaky bacon which was delicious. I'll be ordering again.

Delivered when I wanted. Meat packed great, I divided it up as I wanted and it was in the freezer 45 mins after delivery. I got a message on the day when it was to be delivered and the driver brought it into the house for me.
Great meat, will last the two of us for quite a while. Brilliant service.

I wanted a turkey crown for OUR Christmas dinner in October as grandson going off travelling. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our purchase.

All meat nice and fresh and a lot more than you would get at supermarkets or high street butchers

Good beef.. Good meat in general.. Deliver need to improve as I 've received an mail of DPD about cancel the delivery a d whe I arrived at home the delivery was there bit confused..

Received our second order two weeks ago the quality and quantity is great ,the chicken breast were twice as big as the ones we buy from a supermarket ,and the sirloin steaks was about 2 inches thick
Il be honest we was dubious about placing our first order as we were buying meat on line but we were so pleased with the quality of the meat that we ordered a second order and have now placed our Christmas order with Mark and his team

My first order 4.8 kg sirloin. Pork pack 6kg . And a free pork joint all nice and fresh lovely Irish steak approximately 24 no had two for tea that night were great thanks Mark's mobile butchers and team.

Unfortunately, I’m not particularly happy with my experience with Marks Mobile Butchers.

I ordered a large quantity of meat, including ribeye, based on the description and advertising on the website. However, the ribeye did not taste or eat like the ribeye I’m used to buying elsewhere. It lacked the marbling and juiciness I would normally expect from ribeye. I contacted them to ask for clarification about exactly what cut of ribeye I had received, but despite initially receiving a very brief response saying it was “100% ribeye”, I have since asked further questions and have received no reply.

I was also disappointed with the packaging. The website describes the meat as being shipped in a temperature-controlled box, but what I received appeared to be a standard cardboard box with several layers of cardboard. The ice packs had completely melted by the time it arrived, and the inside of the box was very soggy.

Another issue was the lamb. It was not vacuum sealed, despite the website advertising vacuum-sealed packaging. This was disappointing, particularly when ordering a large amount of meat for storage.

Overall, I expected better quality and packaging based on the descriptions and advertising on the website. The main issue for me is not simply that I didn’t personally enjoy the ribeye, but that I asked for clarification and have not received a proper response.

On the 19th of September i placed an order for a 3kg joint of silverside, 4 large pork chops and some sauce. I received the order the following Tuesday and it included a large pork loin joint for free. The previous week my wife had bought 2 small joints of beef from Asda, one was £27approx and the other £19 approx. so the total was £46. For the same money at Marks mobile butchers i received all the above, and the beef absolutely dwarfed the Asda beef. But the most important test was the taste, and it was lovely. My daughter pinched the chops, and the loin is in the freezer for another day. I saw the advert on Facebook and there are a few doing the rounds, however i am glad i picked the right one, highly recommended.
