This company signs you up for auto renew. It admits on its website that most people don't know this and the reasons they do it. The reason they do it is to keep money coming into their account. I put up an advert on their site and removed it within the quarter as no longer needed a carer as my Mum passed away in Feb 24. I assumed by taking down the advert in Feb 24 that I was done and dusted. But in Oct 24 I notice a payment going out of my bank account and managed to get a refund but there are 2 other payments going back to Apr 24 and July 24 which I never noticed. They do not send a quarterly invoice either so at least you might catch that you are on an auto renew. Subcriptions should be sending invoices automatically. I'm sure consumer affairs would have a lot to say about their process. Their phone number is not answered its an automatic message. Auto renew should be an opt in not an opt out just like signing up to anything online. I paid 59.99 x 2 payments without me needing to use the service. This is wrong on a consumer level. They got 120 euro for me not knowing I had an auto renew. It could have gone on forever had I not noticed it.

If I was able to put no stars I would. This is a scam. I subscribed and made contact with seven potential people for the job. I have selected three and decided to meet them. All three did not show with very poor last minute excuses. I doubt all profiles are real at this stage, this is people who is supposed to need a job. And people do contact you through the portal offering help as they see your ad, however these are just ways to keep you into the subscription for the following month. All people that turned down my appointment did contact me first, not the other way around. Terrible service. Waste of money.

People who advertise for vacant jobs are not responding.
The ads could be there months and months, they don't even log in.
It's very selfish.
People are looking for jobs are wasting their time on this website.

💯 Irish company? Shame on you, you just want to make money for free, the worst site , I paid a subscription once and cancelled it and the keep charging me, this is completely unacceptable, you cant e contact any carers unless you pay an is quite expensive. I couldn't even find what I'm looking for. Don't waist your time and money on this, there are other better options for free!

They take the worst from dating apps/websites, exploiting desperation/urgency from parents and they put it in child carer matching. Truly revolting business model (outright illegal in most of Europe).

The service seems good but the price of the subscription is absolutely ridiculous, there is a minimum monthly subscription of circa €28 a month, to be able to read a message or get a phone number? This is ridiculous. I strongly advise against it. It is far more cost affective to place an ad anywhere else. I emailed about it and also got a very generic email about subscription options. Good idea, poorly executed. In a time where Childcare is expensive and difficult to find it this is more like click bait tk fall into a forgotten subscription than it is a helpful website. Avoid at all costs

As a professional Nanny I've relied on this website a lot for the last 6-7 years and always recommend to other caregivers or people seeking home help. So easy, you set up an ad with your own words and describe your search then people contact you and you can decide if you want to meet or go any further. Basic service is free on the caregiver's side which I think is very fair, you can choose to upgrade if you wish but I've always found jobs very quickly through Mindme.ie. The fact that potential employers pay a (small) fee proves their motivation. Usually you pay only for a month it's very rare not to find someone suitable within that length of time (if your demands are reasonable of course!)

Please be warned that when you take out an annual subscription for Mindme that it automatically defaults to auto renewal. Most reputable organisations, before the renewal date,usually provide you with a notification that payment will be taken unless you take action but Mindme does not. Their customer service is abysmal and you must contact them through their website resulting in you not having an email trail.

Don't notify you when they take payment so if you forget to cancel they will take money every 3 months. I saw this on my bank statement after 1 year and requested a refund for just that payment, not the previous 2, which was on day 1 of new renewal. They refused with a generic email then refused to answer any further correspondence. This was as a paid up member because they wouldn't cancel and refund. Terrible customer service.

Absolute scam. They continued to charge me for months after I cancelled my service and refused to acknowledge this or provide a refund.

They do not send receipts when they charge you each month so there is a complete lack of transparency. They are basically trying to hide charges.

Very bad user interface and customer support. First, portal doesn't explicitly mention about auto-renewal. When they charged me for renewal (even though I hadn't opted in it), I immediately asked the customer support to revert that, but customer support didn't provide any help. Really disappointing.

They purposely make it really hard to work out how to cancel your subscription so that you charged €24.99 per month for absolutely nothing. An Irish company stooping so low. Shame on you

Using the site was seamless and straightforward, and cancelling the subscription when no longer needed was very easy. Didn't manage to find carer on the site as we are quite rural, and there wasn't a lot of carers in our area but got sorted elsewhere.

Really useful site to connect carers with all types of care work. Easy to create and edit profile and I would say the interface is similar to LinkedIn as you can see how many people have viewed your profile etc. Worth paying membership to promote your profile to top of list. I have managed to received a great role very quickly.

Excellent website. We were looking for an after school minder for our 2 children and we found a great girl that we are really happy with. Would definitely use again.

Paid a subscription to find out that not a single person listed on the site in my area is available to work.
Totally pointless.

Really happy with this service, we found someone to look after our kids at home this September within 2 weeks of posting our ad so was very good value for the subscription price. We were a bit nervous about hiring someone online but the interaction with the candidates is excellent once you are subscribed.

Cannot fault the service. I was a little skeptical having read some of the reviews but decided to try it as we were really struggling to find someone before school starts. Happy to say we found a lovely minder who we are really happy with. I would highly recommend the service.
