⭐ VERY DISAPPOINTING – BE CAREFUL BEFORE SIGNING ANY AGREEMENT

I would not recommend PaySmart Carpets based on my experience.

When their estimator came to my home, I specifically showed him the small cupboard areas in my hallway and kitchen. I was told that the cut-outs/offcuts would be used to cover these areas. However, when the fitter arrived, they refused to do it. When I contacted the office to explain what their estimator had promised, instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, I was met with dismissive responses and language that I found very disrespectful.

Another major concern is the way their payment arrangement was presented. Their website advertised “no credit check”, yet after I entered into the agreement, a hard credit search appeared on my credit file. I was not clearly informed by the estimator that agreeing to the payment arrangement would result in a hard search. Had this been clearly explained to me beforehand, I would have been able to make an informed decision before proceeding.

I have already raised my concerns with the company regarding the credit search, and unfortunately this latest issue with the fitting has made my experience even worse.

There appears to be a serious disconnect between what customers are told before signing and what happens afterwards. If your estimator makes commitments while arranging a sale, those commitments should be honoured or the company should take responsibility for resolving the situation.

I paid a substantial amount of money expecting a professional and reliable service. Instead, I have been left frustrated by poor communication, promises not being honoured and disrespectful customer service.

My advice to anyone considering using PaySmart Carpets is to read everything extremely carefully, ask specifically whether any payment option involves a hard credit search, and get every promise about fitting and additional areas in writing before signing or paying anything.

Hassle free experience. Easy process. Had my new flooring down within 2 weeks. It looks amazing!

Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgraceful service. It’s been nearly two months and I’m still without a kitchen floor due to their incompetence. Chose floor, fitters booked in - all day appointment as is standard. No one showed up or called until eventually they came at 4pm - the original fitters van had apparently broken down so someone else had to come after their shift. I had waited in all day and then the fitter took until 8pm at night, clearly rushing as he wanted to get home himself, did an absolutely terrible job of fitting all the floors. Office was closed of course at that time, managed to get hold of the sales advisor who said to pay fitter annwyay and sort out afterwards. Worst thing I did. Been trying to sort out getting the flooring sorted for weeks. Another fitter visited (another day of waiting in) and admitted that it was a really poor job and noted what needed to be sorted. (Literally a big chunk of vinyl was missing in the kitchen where the fitter had cut it too short). I’ve had to keep calling the office to try and get it sorted, was booked in for kitchen flooring to be replaced and other rooms to be refitted (another day I’d have to wait home), that visit then got cancelled, the fitter was apparently sick. Rebooked again, had to wait in again, fitters turned up and didn’t know what they were there to do. I explained to them. They ripped out the badly cut kitchen floor, went to get the replacement out of the van and found it had gashes all over it so couldn’t fit it. They wouldn’t refit the others whilst they were there as they said they wouldn’t get paid. So they left and left me with no kitchen floor which is still the case as I write this review. Supposedly they are coming so finally fit the floors properly next week, but I will believe it when I see it. No apologies, no offer of compensation for all the time I’ve had to take off work not to mention the stress. My appliances were moved out of the kitchen for the fitting and have had to remain out of the kitchen out of use as I am disabled and can’t keep moving them back and to when these clowns keep messing me about on dates. Worst decision I ever made going with this company. I paid in full upfront also so not even getting the benefit of pay monthly or I’d have stopped paying given I’ve got no floor currently.

Incredibly happy from start to finish!! Great quality carpets, fast consultation, no fuss transactions. Got my carpet fitted within the week and on the day of the guy was so friendly and polite and did an excellent job. Thank you guys so much. Very budget friendly and with spreading the costs my carpet will be paid off my Xmas ready to get my stairs done.

I gave it 4 stars mainly for the guy Brad who came and laid my carpets he was very friendly chatty and there was a problem with the measurements on my living room carpet. He wasn't happy with how he had to make it fit. But he didn't his very best to make it look nice. Wasn't too keen on the guy who came out to measure up for the carpets. He was quite arrogant and measured it wrong. So all the praise goes to the carpet fitter for making it look nice

I’d give 10 stars to the fitters if I could, they were friendly & we had a laugh whilst they worked on my vinyl. They did a brilliant job of my flooring & I really hope I get the same guys when I come back for my next lot. Pay smart were as helpful as possible, the only downside was one woman I spoke to a couple of times at my local branch. She was a bit miserable and abrupt and hung up on me.
