I came into the store today and had a lovely warm welcome from Kathy , nothing was too much trouble when I explained what I was looking for she showed me a selection of rings . She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I would 100% be shopping here again what an assent to your company she is . Very happy customer.

I went to get welded bracelet firstly for myself and then for my daughter. Selection of bracelets and great attention given to us by Jade and Laura. I have worn my bracelet now 2 weeks and it’s great. I highly highly recommend Allum and Sidaway for this service and also recommend their piercing service too…. I have had numerous piercings done.

I ordered a Tissot watch online, incredibly helpful staff who phoned to check something immediately after purchase. Watch arrived less than 24 hours later, beautifully wrapped and boxed with a handwritten note. Impeccable service, thank you very much. Will definitely use again.

I don’t feel well writing a bad review , but unfortunately this company really deserves it. I have ordered a Tissot watch from them, only because they had option for next day delivery, while from the original Tissot website you have to wait 2-4 days for it. The watch was priced the same as everywhere else £415( not being discounted, or mentioned anywhere that it is pre-owned). I received it very quick, good packaging and what to see the watch was without any stickers and with plenty of scratches. I have other Tissot watches at home, which I used for 2-3 years and even they don’t look so worn and scratched as the watch I received. I wrote them an email with the photos attached and they offered me to return this watch and receive another one, even though on their website they didn’t had anymore from this style so I believe they were planning only to replace the strap and send me the same,thus I requested a refund. I’ve returned them the watch and I had to pay £10 for that from my own pocket, even though the fault was not mine that they’ve sent me an used watch and they never offered at least to cover their return. At least they refunded the money quick, but that’s definitely not a professional company and neither it is their customer service. If they want to sell something pre-owned they should not sell it on the price of a new watch and they should mention somewhere that it is a pre-owned watch, additionally they should post pictures of the defects so customers know what they are buying.

David (Plymouth branch) could not have done more for myself and my fiancé!!! From start to finish he provided first class customer service! He worked with us and our budget and went above and beyond to find what we wanted. David was kind, compassionate and so personable. From changing his lunch breaks to being on and off the phone- he couldn’t do any more, a 5 star experience. We will absolutely be back again! Thank you, David!

Such excellent piercing service from the Dorchester store. I was a nervous piercing customer, they put me at ease, took time and explained everything fully; I felt in very safe and competent hands. It's also a private appointment in a lovely room. I've been back a few times now and cannot recommend them enough. Great selection of earrings to choose from too.

I wanted a replacement leather strap for an Omega watch. The assistant in the Dorchester branch was exceptionally helpful. I had intended to buy a brown crocodile strap. However, a rather fetching blue calf leather complimented the yellow gold very well.

The old band was removed and I left the shop with the Omega looking like a new watch on the beautiful new strap, on which the gold buckle had also been attached.

Excellent quality strap fitted free of charge. If I had bought on line the chances are that the quality would have been inferior. I certainly wouldn't have been as adventurous in the choice of colour. And how would I have fitted the strap myself without the right tools?

Nicki at the Gillingham store has now done two helix piercings and a tragus piercing for me and I am absolutely thrilled (one in late September, and two in December). She is calm, professional and patient, ensuring that I was totally happy with the positioning before going ahead with the piercing, making the whole experience very reassuring and a pleasure - not at all intimidating or scary. I can highly recommend the whole service and have told friends about Nicki, who have also been really happy with the piercings she did for them. I will definitely use Nicki again in future.

Do not go for piercings.
I had 3 earlobe piercings done in Dorchester over 6 months ago. Two with the Inverness method and one with a needle. The Inverness piercings seemed pretty straight forward. The needle piercing was very traumatic. The two assistants couldn’t screw the jewel of the earring into the post and subsequently dropped it twice. They finally screwed it in but not completely, which I found out once the swelling had gone down and I could see the exposed top of the screw. It turned out the £79 earring had been bent in the process. I left with a very sore and bloody ear. Months of difficultly, pain, irritation, one infection, a piercing bump and anxiety led me to book an appointment with a professional piercer. Her piercing studio did not have the neon lights or fake plants that make A&S ‘instagramable’. It was more like a doctors surgery, sterile, clean, safe. This APP approved piercer was able to determine that the piercings I had done were pierced at odd angles, not straight and all the backs were touching each other causing irritation. She told me that the post should have been downsized and screwed in properly. I would not recommend A&S for a piercing. The piercers are not nearly knowledgeable enough and booking should come with a warning. They are essentially very polite shop assistants, clueless about piercing.
Hopefully this will prompt A&S to provide better training for their assistants as their current offering is not good enough.

Katie went above and beyond to ensure my dress was on time and fitted. The bridesmaid's dresses were also on time and looked amazing. Can't thank you enough for everything you did, you really are a star.

Having a problem with an item of jewellery I bought from another Jewellers Allum and Sidaway have been so helpful. They have gone above and beyond anything you could expect. Their customer service is second to none. The shops are beautiful, its a special; experience.

Had my ears pierced for the 4th time in the Dorchester branch. Lovely staff very clean set up made me feel very comfortable. Will be going back.
