Why am I charged £135 just so that dividends can continue to be paid into the same account?

The answer is because, for some reason, the payment details were deleted even though I had not asked for them to be deleted.

After several attempts to speak to somebody I was finally put through and the person I was speaking to was very clear precise satisfied my inquiry

Helpful chat with Joy. Initially said wait was over 30 minutes but actually was shorter. She was able to answer all my queries about change of name although what she told me was different to what I read on line and I printed of change of name forms which actually I don't need to fill in. Covering letter, share certificates and marriage certificate need sent. Hopefully there will be no hassle and a good outcome . Nothing is easy with shares!

The response from ComputerShare to my query included a document for me to download.
When I downloaded it I was unable to open it.
I followed up with an email to ask to have it sent again.
I have not yet received a reply.
I found the service uncaring and unhelpful and un-understanding, being from a country on the other side of the world as I am.

Mussa answered all my questions and offered additional information that I may need at a later stage. Very happy with his help.

I tried to get copies of some statements which I couln'd retrieve from the Investor Center because they were too old. Chatbot did not offer me a solution. I found an email address in the web and wrote a clear message. After a few days I got a response that they could not help me because my holding was nil (I had dematerialised my stock). Absolutely disappointed. They could send me the documents as I have been registered to Investor Center for more than 15 years. This is a shame. As simple as that.

No answer to my questions / no advice for more than a year and délais to get a feedback. Struggling to get investment back to my account.

Dealing with shareholding in normal circumstances was automatic and satisfactory, but dealing with a bereavement has been a nightmare, I have been corresponding with them for over a year, but they fail to recognise original Scottish certification. Each holding seems to be isolated from the others and communication is non existent. Why do they not have a single contact point with experienced staff and cross department communication.

Absolutely diabolical customer support. Useless to the extreme. Don’t even try to get a response to your customer queries because you will be disappointed, humiliated, dog on pissed off. The worst experience that I have ever encountered.

This must be one of the few companies of its type that has no secure messaging facility or email address.

Out of hours there is no way to send anything to them. The AI chatbot won't save your query details to show attempts to log a query out of hours.

I used the EquatePlus to complete tasks. The tasks disappeared, and two of the tasks were actioned within a couple of days. But two other important tasks disappeared from my Tasks screen but there is no evidence of them being actioned! Expiry of options date is a weekend, so no way to call or contact them in any way to check whether the Tasks are actually being actioned, or if they haven't been actioned and Computershare are going to expire my share options!!!

I wanted to transfer shares out of Computershare to my usual broker account. The process involves sending a physical cheque for £20, the first time I've needed a cheque book in a decade so had to order one. I filled in the form I was sent correctly, including leaving one field (number of shares to transfer) blank as directed by the instructions on the same form ("for this stock only full transfers are allowed, leave this field blank"). I waited and waited, then when I got in touch with Computershare they told me it had been rejected due to the blank field, but they had advised my broker, not me. Having confirmed that the form was correctly completed, I'm still waiting for action almost 2 months after sending the form and cheque. Still hopeful but the experience is both out of the 1990's and a very poor customer experience.

Having rung their helpline to ask about splitting inherited shares between a brother and sister, I was initially told I would have to transfer half to a separate account. When I pointed out this would leave the residue still in joint names I was then told it couldn’t be done. I then pointed out that their website described a process for splitting the shares. I was told I had to write requesting the split. I have just had a letter back to say I have to submit two stock transfer forms, which will be sent under separate cover. What was this not done based on my original phone request? Shocking customer service.

My mom passed away and to say dealing with this company to close out just a small number of stocks has been an absolute nightmare. I’d rather stab myself in the eye than ever have to deal with them again. If you are looking to invest….. go somewhere else. Anywhere else. I list now as the date of experience but it’s been ongoing for 4 months and there still isn’t an end In sight

Strait forward chat, Declan was polite and to the point in providing confirmation of when I would receive the funds from my share sale.

Request was to sell a small amount residual of shares and close account. apparently accounts cannot be closed for 10 years. and the action could only be carried out via written/posted letter (not email)? Requested a stop/hold was put on the account which was done and as requested a confirmation e mail was sent on 18/09/26 so the action took just under a month and for pressing the 'sell' button I was charged £20.00 approx 25% charge of the value, its no wonder free to use share sites are gaining popularity.
