The 2 male managers...we're so polite

The one named Chris on Sundays is helpful and fun. Made my experience wholesome.

The lady on Friday or Saturday the smily brunette with hair up who looks a little like Amy Lee.was so personable too.

The tall man who always smiling, hes been there years, I think his culture may be of Asia or surrounding cultures or mine even Italian.

So misleading as you would think it’s a simple offer but NO you cant order this and can’t order that, supplement for this and supplement for that.
Why bother pizza express or is it just to p+++ your customers off!!!

My son had a party at pizza express in Wokingham and he had a fantastic Birthday and they made amazing pizzas the host was amazing and I highly recommend pizza express in Wokingham for a party xxx

Following our meal for two at the Swindon Outlet branch I left a very negative review on Google. PizzaExpress gave a prompt response, which I suspect was AI generated. I had complained about the amateurish service and I was told that PE does not aspire to ‘fine dining’, their choice of words, not mine. Basically this was a passive aggressive way of telling me that my expectations of a restaurant meal need to be lowered rather than that PE’s performance needs improvement. I was charged £115 for piss poor food, amateurish, slapdash service and a generally mean spirited ‘by feeding you we’re doing you a favour’ attitude and general atmosphere.
Speaking as a pensioner, one positive thing occurred: I noticed that a gratuity had been automatically added, which I deleted, so reducing my bill to a still outrageous and unjustifiable £102. I will NEVER go back!

PizzaExpress Swindon Designer Outlet restaurant.
I don't leave reviews but I felt I had to this time.
We visited this restaurant for my Birthday lunch and we had a very disappointing experience. The attitude of a member so staff "DAN" made us feel as though we were inconveniencing him by choosing to dine at the restaurant rather than being welcomed as customers. The service was extremely poor with significant delays in receiving our food. Our food was left at the pass for an extended period, during which it was clearly getting cold, yet there appeared little urgency from the staff to serve it. We waited 30 mins for our mains and we eventually decided to leave because we did not want cold food. When we mentioned we would leave a review, Dans response was "please go ahead because nothing will come of it and he knew how to deal with bad reviews" We found this attitude particularity disappointing and felt it showed a lack of concern for our feedback as customers.
This was already evident from his attitude, as we entered the restaurant. He believes there are no consequences for his behaviour, which is exactly what he suggested to us at the time.
We ended up in another restaurant that was very welcoming and provided us with an excellent service. Based on our experience, I would recommend considering other options than this Pizza Express.

I have to give Pizza express of Monmouth 5 stars.
I had lunch on a Saturday with my 82 year old dad and 8 year old granddaughter. The staff were so helpful helping me to download the app. They gave my granddaughter her starter straight away so she had something to nibble on as we looked at the menu. I had a pepperoni pizza which was delicious. We were rushing to get to the theatre and they got our food to us as quickly as possible. I just can’t thank the staff enough nothing was too much trouble and my granddaughter enjoyed her first experience at pizza express. Thanks again for a wonderful lunch

Visited PizzaExpress Spalding 4 times over the last couple of months. First visit was shortly after they’d opened the new restaurant. Service was slow, but cut them some slack as they’d not been open for long, new systems, new staff etc. Meal was ok though.
Visited again a couple of weeks later and after 30 minutes of waiting to be served, we got up and walked out.
Went back a couple of weeks later, service was much improved and the meal was very good. Tried to pay with Tesco vouchers but they couldn’t scan them, so the female manager only charged us half price . Excellent customer service.
Went again yesterday 12/09/26 we hadn’t booked. Waitress offered to seat us and collected some menus for us, The manager (different from the last visit) came over, asked if we had booked and when we said no he told us they were fully booked (at least 6 vacant tables were visible) . When we asked “since when?”
He stated “since we got busy, we’re only taking bookings”. No apology offered.
We left and went elsewhere.
Now, either he’d made that up on the spot or there is clearly no communication between Staff members. Get it sorted PizzaExpress, we will be giving you a wide berth unless some decent reviews appear on here!

The pizza express next to Trafalgar Square was very good. Shout out to Ellen who was an amazing server. All the best with the opera singing!

We ordered a gluten free double American cheese pizza and an original base smoky chicken bbq pizza. The food was delivered by deliveroo ice cold. The base of the bbq chicken pizza was so thin and tough I couldn't cut it with my knife. Nope... they weren't pre-cut either. It was tough as leather. There was so much bbq sauce that's all you could taste. And they're not cheap either. Never again. Worst meal I've ever had.

ZERO STAR is what it should be. TOWER PARK Pizza Express is beyond shocking. Dirty Tables. Lazy staff. When we asked why the service is so bad and no staff around we were told they were all on their break…..The food was soggy and 2 orders never arrived. Will never ever go back.

AVOID BASINGSTOKE! After an hour and half wait with two young children, they gave them uncooked pasta! Staff hardly come over and the managers were too busy stuffing their face with pizza! This reminds me of why I don't come here.

Our favourite family restaurant in Macclesfield. We always get great service, the staff are friendly & foods always super yummy! Cole has served us another time and always goes above and beyond.

1hour 45 mins for a table of 7 .. really bad service, so slow , didn't take the order properly as she was rushing us as we were giving her the order , got order wrong... couldnt split the bill into couples. Had to pay the whole bill as one.... pizzas were nice but the lasagne was a cheep ready meal, not meat in it ,and so watery. Service charge was added, why ? It should be upto the customer. Have complained but as I dont have the receipt they won't help me with my complaint
Disgusting service and customer service after .. Plymouth one by Theatre Royal

We had lunch there today. We intended to eat inside, but found the kitchen counter staff were quite noisy handling the crockery and implements etc. We decided to sit outside, luckily it was sunny.

We had an issue with a pizza we ordered, not 100% your fault and your Manager offered to replace it with a different one.

When paying we had problems trying to use our vouchers and your Manager called Tesco on our behalf and we eventually sorted it. In the meantime he gave us two complimentary coffees whilst we waited for Tesco to do what was needed.

All in all, excellent service from the Manager and his team.

Very disappointed and unhappy with my experience at Pizza Express with my Grandchildren.

We were first forgotten!!
Shown to our seats then waited over 20 minutes before the second staff member took over and took out orders we hadn’t even got a drink at this point, Then we ordered and waited another 25 minutes with no sign of our food and I had to chase up staff to ask where our starters were!!
Then we were given only 1 starter instead of 2 that we ordered and again I had to highlight that I should have had 2 starters
Finally we had our mains but it was a very stressful experience with 2 children expecting them
to wait 45 mins is unrealistic and if I hadn’t promised them a treat I would have made a huge fuss and walked out.
Even with my Tesco vouchers reducing the cost that’s not the point, what should have been a lovely experience ended up being a bad one.

Very disappointing experience and poor value for money
I recently visited Pizza Express in Street with my wife and her friend, who is a chef in Weston-super-Mare. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a very disappointing experience.
We ordered two Lasagne Classica dishes. The menu describes the lasagne as containing slow-cooked beef, mushroom and tomato raga. However, none of us could identify any beef or mushrooms in either dish. My wife's friend, who is a chef, also questioned the contents of the lasagne.
We raised this with the restaurant, who offered to make two replacement lasagnes. We declined because we already had two dishes that appeared to have the same problem. Instead, we suggested they cook another one and check it themselves. The chef suggested that perhaps the beef and mushrooms had been very finely ground down.
We did not find this explanation satisfactory. We suggested that the dish should perhaps be removed from the menu or the description reviewed until the matter could be investigated. We were told that this could not be done because it was company policy.
We also ordered an Americano pizza with additional pepperoni, chicken, ham and red onion. The meat toppings were charged at £2.50 each, with the red onion costing £1.50, making the pizza approximately £25.
For that price, we were extremely disappointed with the quantity of additional toppings. There appeared to be approximately one piece of ham, two small pieces of chicken and three pieces of pepperoni, along with the red onion. At £2.50 for each additional meat topping, we expected considerably more.
We appreciate that eating out costs more than buying food from a supermarket, but we are happy to pay restaurant prices when the food, portions and service justify them. On this occasion, we felt the quality, quantity and value for money simply weren't there.
Unfortunately, the way our concerns were handled by the staff also added to our disappointment. We felt that our concerns were not properly addressed or investigated.
As a result of the poor value for money, our experience with the food and the way our concerns were handled by the staff, we will not be eating at these premises again.
We hope Pizza Express management will take these comments seriously and review both the Lasagne Classica and the portioning of additional toppings, as well as the way customer complaints are handled.

We went for lunch to celebrate A level results and encountered the worst service we’ve ever experienced in the Hitchin restaurant. It started by being ignored for 10 minutes (despite booking a table), the service was slow and the attitude abrupt. We raised an issue with a manager and were treated with aggression, defensiveness and rudeness. This is the first time we’ve ever felt the need to leave a Trustpilot review about restaurant service but it left us feeling shaken and turned what should have been a celebration into an upsetting experience. We will never go back and would advise to avoid.
