After everything I’ve already been through with this company, their latest response is just more deflection. They’re now asking me to pay out of pocket for a “certified professional” to validate what their own technician already proved — that the job was misdiagnosed, not completed, and the oven is still doing the exact same thing it did on day one.
Let me be clear:
I will not spend another dollar to confirm their mistakes.
If the repair had been “successfully completed,” as they keep claiming, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. The oven still goes into a locked cleaning mode. The technician did not fix the issue, misdiagnosed the problem, wasted weeks of my time, stopped responding entirely, and even no‑showed an appointment that cost me a full workday.
This has been singularly the worst repair experience of my life.
Instead of taking responsibility, they continue to push the burden back onto the customer. After two months of delays, silence, misdiagnosis, and incompetence, they now want me to pay someone else to prove what is already obvious.
At this point, I’m done.
I’ve asked them to issue the partial refund they already approved so I can move on and never deal with this company again. And trust me — neither I nor anyone I know will ever use their service.

How to Void a Warranty That Doesn’t Exist: A Masterclass by Puls 🤡
If you ever want to experience the peak comedy of corporate gaslighting, I highly recommend buying a membership with Puls. My fridge stopped cooling, and after two full weeks of hostage negotiations over email while my tenant’s food spoiled, I finally had to capitulate and pay out-of-pocket for a repair I didn't even want just to get them to do their job.
You literally cannot make this crap up. Please enjoy the Olympic-level mental gymnastics their "Membership Care Team" put me through:
The "Pre-Existing Condition" Pivot: They refused to fix my cooling issue (the defrost heater) unless I paid them $156 out-of-pocket to fix a broken ice maker. The ice maker has been broken for years, and they knew it, because they previously serviced the unit.
The Imaginary Manufacturer Warranty: When I told them I’d just handle the ice maker with Samsung later, they claimed they couldn’t fix the defrost heater because it might "void the manufacturer warranty". Guys... the fridge is from 2016 or earlier. There is no manufacturer warranty. And even if there was, Puls already worked on it in 2022, which by their own logic would have already voided it!
The "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose" Guarantee: When I pointed out their logic made zero sense, they offered a "compromise": they would fix the cooling issue, but if the fridge still didn’t cool after they left, they wouldn't guarantee their work or offer a redo. So... I pay you to fix it, it doesn't work, and you just keep the cash? Solid business model.
The Ultimate Paradox: They later claimed that if a different company fixed the ice maker after Puls fixed the defrost heater, it would void Puls's 30-day guarantee. So I told them: "Great, nobody else will touch it. The ice maker will just stay broken." Their response? "Well, if the manufacturer doesn't repair the ice maker BEFORE we fix the fridge, your guarantee is void anyway."
Math is Hard: To top it all off, they kept threatening to void my "30-day guarantee," completely forgetting that my actual membership agreement guarantees parts and labor for 90 days.
The grand finale? After days of them taking forever to reply while a fridge sat completely unusable, I gave up, and paid the ransom just to get the appliance running.
How this predatory, shifting-goalpost nonsense is legal is beyond me. If you're considering a Puls membership to protect your home appliances—save your money. They will happily take your monthly fees, but when something actually breaks, they'll just hold your kitchen hostage until you pay up.
EDIT BASED ON PULS REPLY:
This is completely false. THERE IS NO MANUFACUTER WARRENTY. The team REFUSED to service my fridge unless I paid for an ice maker repair - which I DID NOT WANT FIXED and had nothing to do with the reason the fridge would not cool. It had been broken for years and had NOTHING to do with the fridge not cooling. They would not send anyone out to my house unless I agreed to pay for an ice maker repair. When I said I just would keep operating as normal, with no ice maker, since there hadn't been one there for years, they would only agree to repair my fridge if I waived all rights to guarantee the repairs, which obviously I would never do, especially with this company.
So, if you're really going to help, you can waive the ice maker repair, which I didn't want in the first place and your team forced me to pay for simply to get the service I deserve.

Andrei kept us informed a few times in the morning letting us know first that he was still scheduled to arrive at the appointed time and then when he was 40 minutes away. He showed up just when he said he would. This is much better than many other contractors who keep you waiting and don’t do a great job of staying in touch. He found the problem right away. He was thorough and informative and pleasant to work with. The cost was very reasonable. Will put him at top of our list of appliance repairmen to contact for the next problem

If I could give this service plan a negative rating I would. I've been a paid monthly member for several years ($37/mo) and I needed service for a rental property on June 11th to repair a fridge that wasn't staying cool.
It's now June 23rd, the fridge is still not fixed and they are fighting with me about $150 because they want to repair the ice maker, which isn't part of the problem and they won't cover that repair because they claim it's a manufacturer defect.
My repairs will not be scheduled even though my appliance has been repaired by them in the past. They claim if they repair it now, and I don't pay for the ice maker, they will not guarantee their service on my fridge. I don't want the ice maker repaired, and won't get it repaired in the future, but they still won't guarantee their work. I think they know the fridge needs to be replaced, and they are forcing me to pay for unnecessary repairs, so they break even or profit from my service plan instead of actually replace the fridge.
If you want to overpay, deal with shady service reps, never have your appliance serviced, and be charged for frivolous repairs before they honor your contract, use this service.

Horrible expeience!
The technician did not follow company policy when charging for the service to my fridge. He charged us fo some of the work through the link byt then side charged my son for the rest. He asked my son to Venmo him. My son did and the ice maker still does not work. When I reached out to the company I am getting mixed results on if they will reimburse my son the money he sent the technician. They should be embaressed and fix this situation now.
