Over a good experience, system working very well and I can see the the organisation is going through quality improvement processes

Installers turned up on time, did a neat & tidy job and cleaned up after themselves.
Most recent electricity bill shows approximately 50% reduction in electricity drawn from the grid when compared with the same time last year, so the battery would appear to be well on the way to breakeven.

I can recommend the Solar Battery Group for the great sales and instillation of the Alpha ESS solar battery which stores the power generated by the solar panels and imports power as required for the home requirements. With the settings on prioritising self consumption proving to save money for total power used.

The price and installation of the battery was good, installation staff were through and polite.
But I was charged for an item ( a bollard) that was not used. I rang the office and was told this was not so. I sent a copy of my itemised account showing I has been charged and paid $250 for this item, I had observed the electrician cross this item off his run list.
I have rung at least 4 times and sent several emails. The last response was a month ago admitting that the matter had been forwarded to the finance department..nothing since. It has been 2 months since my first contact with solar battery group, it seems the plan is to wait me out, but $250 is a lot for an aged pensioner.

The whole transaction was seamless and very easy from start to finish.

I initially reached out to Solar Battery Group for more information, and very quickly I was given information and my battery was installed.

A couple of small hitches, which is the only reason it was 4 stars instead of 5: -

1) A last-minute switch in the brand of battery as the one they sold me was out of stock. I was told this was an upgrade, so I believe it was to my benefit, but it was a little unsettling.
2) I would have liked a follow-up much sooner and perhaps a video showing me how to use the app. I reached out for assistance with this, and I left a message, but no one got back to me, so I had to work it out for myself. Unfortunately, for three months, the battery left 20% in reserve, which was too high, meaning I had to take power from the grid at times, and I didn't know how to change it. I wanted the reserve to be lower. This has since been resolved.

Now, the good stuff: -

1) They fit me in early.
2) The installers did a good job. Looks great.
3) The compliance inspector fit me in within a couple of days when I expected to wait up to two weeks.
3) When something didn't quite meet compliance after inspection, the installers came back and resolved the issue the very next day.

Overall, happy with the product. If the aftercare could be improved a little, this would be a five-star service.

Everything went smoothly.
The installer was well presented and made sure I was aware of all requirements and cleaned everything around the installation site before leaving.

I'd highly recommend them.

Fitting the battery took three attempts, although I understand government's insistence on protective sheeting was a major contributor. We missed more than a week of sunny weather because of that. Also, communications do not work to this day.

The service and installation was efficient and drama free.
