I am low income. I filled in the Ufile.ca. In the review section, my income doubled. Showed that I have to pay this crooked scam.

I have been a customer of ufile for several years. Every time I was able to file my wife's return without extra costs. I got a promotional discount offer from them for 2023 year. So I took that. When I prepared the returns, it asked me to pay ufile for my wife. The receipt read Family Head plus two dependants. So, I would at least be covered for a total of 3 returns. It appears Ufile is using deception to squeeze more money out of its loyal customers. I had taken up on their promotional offers before and my wife's return was never excluded. Perhaps this time I felt generous and picked "premium" hoping for better service, but got reduced service instead. What a big scam!!

I contacted UFile with a very clear description of their software problem. I file a joint return with my spouse. A tab "Download the Notice of Assessment" was available for my return, which provides a link to obtain your Notice of Assessment after NetFiling. This entire tab was not provided with my spouses return. Over several emails, I detailed the problem, provided screenshots, and the evidence that the tab was to be available. Help desk response from JADE who was supported by her supervisor, was that I had to call CRA. They said the tax return was under review, although the tax refund was issued. I was finally able to obtain the NoA from CRA. When your customer service answer is to direct to CRA for your software errors, that is pathetic.

I am below the threshold for bearing low income yet each year i was told it was free and STILL had to pay to get my tax done and filed. Shame on them for forcing a paywall to further drain low income people.

Don’t bother. I have slips for every dime of income, no self employed or rent or anything outside the boxes. This idiotic software kept asking for Covid income details (none) pension splitting info (I’m single) and would not progress past that. I tried two other software programs with autofill, both took only minutes and done.

I work in QC and live in ON. There is an RL1 at CRA that ufile didnt even download like it did my T4. Because of this I unbale to fill in any RL1 info and owed 7g. I had to find a workaround on redit to get it to display the correct boxes. I should have went to another platform as now I am worried what it submitted is wrong.

I have used this program for 10 years successfully but this year it is a piece of crap.
Nothing works and It mixes up data between my wife and I am unable to trust it at all. I want my money back and I will find another software to complete the simple job of compiling and submitting our tax of 2023

The online version is buggy and you pay the same price than the desktop, BUT ypu can only file for one person.
My error for not reading the small print.

Had to call them 5 times to help with completing my return. I do no think any of them graduated elementary school.I have never had to deal with so many people with an IQ lower than their shoe size.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Don't use if you have kids with or without disabilities. Or are self employed. Program is garbage. Support was even worse. The last person hung up on me while I was trying to talk and she was trying to talk over me. Horrible company

Second time using UFile. This junky software stinks. Why? Last year I bought the software for Windows. This year I purchased the online version. You can’t view a Ufile file saved from a Windows software in the online software. If a company can’t see this is a problem of wasting a person’s time then how many other things can they do wrong? Well if you need a .pdf of a previous tax return you will need the key. You can view you previous return but can’t print it or save as a .pdf. Other problems are the use of cloud storage. No chat support. No mobile app. TurboTax is better. It has better reviews.

I called them just after noon Pacific time but their machine told me to call back during office hours, even though the office was supposed to be opened for a few hours more! I then filled out their enquiry form but when I clicked SUBMIT, there was an error message indicating the form was not transmitted. I filled out the form a second time but it failed to transmit again.

Ufile's customer service is non existent. Buyer beware!

I was not given an Activation Key. I purchased Ufile Pro in November 2023, ($313 on my credit card).
Tried to download and use it today. I am registered with the Efile people.
On the Ufile helpdesk website the tool for sending the problem to them doesn't work.
Their phone number doesn't answer, message says call back 9 to 5 Eastern time. It is well within that time frame.
What do I do?

Several errors, particularly in the RIF statement fill-ins area (for pensioners/retirees)
Presumably Thomson-Reuters doesn't believe that the average "elderly" pensioner might ever try to do their own taxes!
I been usin' Ufile for 10 years now, and it keeps gettin' worse every year.
Lissen, sonny- I been workin' in computers since before you were born! And I bet even before yer daddy was born!
55 years in the business, and (except for us really bright guys) it just keeps on gettin' sloppier and sloppier.
It is now June, 2023 and gettin' kinda late to switch horses but I may have to. Even if it DOES cost this old semi-indigent pensioner ~$50 or so...

Very annoyed with the horrible customer support. They are not always open during the hours they are supposed to be open. I have often had to wait over 40 minutes to be answered. Even then, I often get someone very rude with limited understanding of the product and/or limited English. Usually, the most this person will say is submit a question online. It then takes at least 3 days to get a "non-response", basically amounting to send another online request [to get another non-response...].

This program is a mess and definitively not user friendly.
On top of that there is no customer support to speak of.
It's used to be a time where this program was simple to use. Not anymore. By adding all kinds of complexities, they made it usable only for masochistic personalities.
It's a shame and our governments are complicit in this rip-off.
One can try Turbo Tax, but it is not much better.

Terrible. I have been using online UFile since 2001, but the issues I am listing keep happening and no one ever cares to do anything about it.
Errors out at paying, too many times.
Does not load up last years client profile and carry forward data, too many times.
Is slow, and during tax deadline is literally unresponsive
Often doesn't record data entered unless you hit "next"

It's a total shame because it's otherwise a terrific and user friendly program, that maxes tax refunds well. Yet these issues hamper functionality and I am seriously considering switching away.

This has turned to crap, took hours to fill out the forms , then it was almost impossible to pay for this "free" software. Plus i couldn't save as a PDF or print it out, it did file after several tense minutes wondering if it even worked.

I missed my tax filing deadline thanks to UFile! I could not log into my account despite trying for hours and hours. I have been their customer for many years, but I cannot rely on them anymore. Their customer service works Mon-Fri 9 to 5 pm even during tax season - they did not bother having extended hours of customer service for the tax filing season. If it was a free service that is one thing, but we pay for it. I wrote to them asking for a refund of my payment to Ufile. If they don't, I will file chargeback with my credit card company that Ufile did not deliver what I paid for. I recommend that everyone do the same as this can teach them a lesson.

Site was down for hours with no support or eta. When the site finally does load it takes minimum 3-4 minutes to go between pages and tabs. RRSP calculations are not working properly and return is not accurate. Very disappointing as it was an excellent program in comparison to Turbo Tax.
