Ufile used to be good in using to file your income tax but nowadays, their online filling are super slow it will take you the whole day to file your simple tax.
They give errors and warnings that's not even related or applicable to your file. I wish aside from Tubo Tax there's another system to use - might want to use Turbo Tax again since they it's more simple and easy to answer line by line interview.
Don't start using UFILE if you are filling in a rush situation because it will eat your whole day to go back and fort on the form plus moving to next pages are like ages to load.

I wish I could give it a ZERO. This tool is absolutely unusable. The returns I needed to do should take max 1 hour and I've been at this for 6 hours having to re-enter data and waiting minutes to save and change pages.

All was good until I tried to print/pay/file. I kept getting an error message upon payment, therefore could not file. When I called customer service I received the message "Our offices are now closed. We are open Monday to Friday." Why bother during tax season? I'll be using a different service next year for sure!

I've been using Ufile for many years. It is a great software, reasonably priced and you can do any kind of return and not have to pay $80+ for Turbo Tax.
Huge dissatisfaction from repeat customer
Huge dissatisfaction from a returning customer. I contacted UFILE by phone to solve a problem, whereupon I was told the answer would come by email within 24Hrs. This didn't happen so I turned to another provider.
UFile returns policy is too restrictive - bought the service in November because it was supposed to be a special. No difference today in price, but now past the 'return' window and can't get my money back.
Bad deal all around, $38 was wasted. Won't come back to UFILE and won't recomment it in future.
This software will drive you crazy. Avoid!
Software would not calculate taxes due to 'errors'. Links are supposed to go to where the errors are (it was incorrect dates in revenue property), but they go to a different spot in the return (dates of my business, which I don't have). It took a long time to go through and manually and fix. Very buggy program and I will never use again. Way too painful

I believe this site is now a scam. When you go to virtual support, there is no box to type in your request. Customer service via phone does not work. The site will not allow me to e-file and keeps directing me to pay again (I've already bought the box from Staples). Going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I used the chat function within the software. It sucks. Five times, chat window either disappears or no response. One time, an agent copied what's in the help and pasted it. then closed the chat!
Same for the phone number. Days I'm trying to call you. Just spent hours waiting! The last day finally someone answered me and asked me to fill a request form. I did 10 time and every time I get the message "Oops, something appears to have gone wrong"
Worse than the old tax sheets
I have been a Turbo tax customer for 15 years. Sadly this yr I couldn't use their program as I still have Windows 8.1. I decided to try UFile, bought it brought it home in which there is no software as an "environmental initiative"(noticed after). You have to download which I tried 4 seperate times, download completed, but doesn't open. I attempted to do the free netfile from their site, setup takes longer than turbo tax, upon trying to send to netfile for my refund, UFile wants you to pay $30 with tax,guessing because of donations it isn't actually free. I had already paid $24.99 plus tax from Staples which I opted for no receipt as I didn't plan to return it. Perhaps include the cd with purchase, as I along with others don't have time to send away for it.
Stay away from this crap software
Yuck! What a waste of money on this crap. Does not install. If it does, does not launch! Support is totally useless. They keep repeating a copy-paste approach to all problem requests.

I bought Ufile tax software digitally at Best Buy in March 2023. Defective USB files and poor-quality products lead to many errors. It's not an excellent buy anymore. It's not the best because of the service. I'VE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR OVER 20 YEARS, AND THIS IS MY FIRST TIME UFILE TAX SOFTWARE FILING, AND I'M HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS. I SENT THEM MANY EMAILS AND MADE SIX PHONE CALLS WITH REPLIES. FILE 2023. I was told my refund check was in the mail from the USA UFile Account Department. Fraudulent and Fake customers from this scammer

Very disappointed with the Ufile. I think they are doing this to take advantage of people who don't know how to fill out their taxes. They are hoping to take their money and give them a service that doesn't even work properly. It's unacceptable and should be addressed. Very poor tax software, no functionality, and very poor support
We're connected with someone who was unable to communicate with me and did not appear to understand what I was asking. This was despite the simple question. I tried asking the question multiple ways and kept getting the answer that I had "already been given the answer." I asked to be transferred to someone who spoke English. After several attempts, I finally transferred to customer service with the rude little English-speaking male. There were no English speakers, and the guy was very rude. Best Buy has a NO return policy that covers defective and online digital tax software, even items that have failed due to a programming error.
I will never use them again. I feel scammed.
It's not worth buying Ufile tax software from Best Buy. Best Buy no longer values its customers. Amazon will be my new place to buy electronics.

I have used UFile for many years and never had any discrepancy with Canada Revenue notice of assessment until now for tax year 2022. It happens that according to UFile my wife was eligible for a credit for CWB for 2022 but according to CRA she does not qualify for it because of the total family income, so she is owing 4 times more to CRA of what UFile showed in her return. The issue here is that UFile software messed up with my wife return saying she was eligible for CWB when she was not, I entered my income, Line 23600, in my wife return so UFile should have not showed she was eligible for CWB, the software messed up with that. This is the last time I use UFile as it is showing me it is not a reliable software anymore.
Help questions responses
I have been using uFile for many years as a desktop program and i do like the program, easy to use and straight forward, of course you do need some knowledge on how to prepare a tax return. The proble i have with uFile is that when you ask them a question or have a suggestion the person answering the message i sent has absolutely no F G idea what i am talking about, not only that they never reply to your message with the original subject so if you send them 2 messages it's a toss up as to which message they are replying to. I find you may as well be talking to a wall.

I have been dealing with the same problem for weeks. First I downloaded 2022 Ufile but never received an activation key. I have been sending e-mails and the replies obviously are not being read. I have used Ufile for many years with never a problem but it will be the last time - if I can solve this years problems

Very good and a good price when bought early
I have used UFile for years. I have never had a problem. I wait until mid March to file and then I use the auto-fill feature. Auto-fill works with the CRA and the CRA should have all of one's relevant tax info by Mid March. For senior couples, UFile offers tax splitting. When it comes time to file, the Netfile option is great. By waiting until mid March, I am able to do my taxes in a morning. Nice.
Inaccurate
Inaccurate, misleading, and uninformative. I have a degree in linguistics and found myself confused by the order of operations and layout/explanations. I'd wager that if you successfully filed your taxes (and received all applicable benefits) via this platform, you got lucky.
