2022 IS UNUSEABLE NOW -- MUST BE HOLIDAYS!

have used ufile for many years --- now seems to be 'off the air' Can't even get onto the system! Highly unreelable. Are they on an extended break? Will be going elsewhere for this and future years. MAJOR PART OF WEBSITE DOES NOT EVEN WORK. OR - AS WITH HELP SECTION - IS JUST A BUNCH OF GOBBLY-GOOK. NOT USEABLE

Ufile facing TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. No problems in previous years but for…

No problems in previous years but for 2021 tax year could not file return online electronically. Was able to contact customer service who could not resolve problem. This was more than two months ago and they never called back with a solution. Now, when calling customer support, message says that support is not a available, due to a technical problem.

I have used UFILE for years and was satisfied with the service. In December 2021 I paid in advance for preparation of my and my wife's 2021 tax returns. My return went through to CRA without a problem, however after trying to submit my wife's return to I was asked to 'pay again'. So I emailed my UFILE receipt received in December 2021 for confirm my payment and requested that this error be resolved as soon as possible. I got an answer back by email saying I had paid for "the head of the family + 2 dependents, and that a spouse is not considered a dependent". I had to pay again to file my wife's return. End result, I ended up paying more that way than if I had waited until April 30 and paid for the head of the family + a spouse. I sent a return email, asking them to refund the amount I paid too much, but suddenly no answer. BTW, when I needed their help on April 30, their chat help option was not available. Imagine - no help on the last day to file!
I see TurboTax, the other big tax software program, is having to pay out millions to consumers in the US who were misled by their advertising.

Worst program ever used and been doing…

Worst program ever used and been doing taxes for years. Purchased and paid for the could not efile/netfile unless I paid $45.94. WHICH I HAD NO CHOICE IF I WANTED TO COMPLETE A 1 FAMILY RETURN. SO ....PAID TWICE FOR 1 FAMILY...ALL SENIORS....74, 74, 96 YEARS OLD.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I have used this product in the past to file my income tax and I didn't like the way they make you pay before you can review your file to make sure the information is correct. However this year they triple billed me for the service. The first day they charged my card twice. The following day when i was completing my taxes they billed me again. I paid three times for filing one time. I write the help support but they just send back nonsense responses and still haven't refunded my money. I will not ever use this service again. They're not honest or reliable.

I used to file using ufile window but I…

I was used to file my family income tax filing using ufile window when I had purchased to use uflie online for 2021 my family tax filing, I thought that convenient but I ended up paying the double price for online ufile because ufile will not let me file another one without pay additional prices thus I had tried to contact ufile customer services by email and phone calls, nothing happens so far. they are making a profits to concealing info from customer, ufile should be revealing it and must be clearly shows that how many returns you can file like as indicated for window one, so customers are not be confused. I don't think that they are doing this for by mistake, doing it deliberately.
Very disappointed by ufile.

UFILE requesting duplicate payment

I have used UFILE for years and was satisfied with the service. In December 2021 I paid in advance for preparation of my 2021 tax return. However, after completing my 2021 tax return and tried to download and submit my return to Canada Revenue Agency I was asked to 'pay again'. So I emailed my UFILE receipt received in December 2021 for confirm my payment and requested that this error be resolved as soon as possible. I have not yet had a response and Tax filing deadline is April 30, 2022. Based on the submission by other UFILE users I probably will not be using their services ever again.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I HAVE BEEN A UFILE USER FOR OVER 15YEARS AND THIS YEAR I AM HAVING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS. IHAVE SENT THEM 7 REPORTS AND MADE 3 PHONE CALLS WITH NO SATISFACTORY ANSWERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, WILL NOT USE THIS PROGRAM TIME TO CHANGE PROVIDER.

mauvaix logiciel et services

Ils ont mentionné qu’il est gratuit pour les personnes ayant un revenu moins de 20,000$ et ce n’était pas le cas (19.95$ +tax/pour une seule personne). En cas de problème tu appels leurs services de soutien tu restes plus qu’une heure au téléphone mais personne ne répond. Je ne conseille personne à utiliser ce logiciel !

Client service is atrocious - Avoid them

UFile Online works well, but their client service is absolutely atrocious. For that reason, I only gave them one star.
I read other customer reviews on this website as well as on the BBB's site. What I read validates my assessment of UFile (i.e., I am not alone).
My recommendation: Do yourself a favour and avoid UFile at all costs. This most unpleasant experience made me realise that there are other options out there.
Summary --- In December 2020, they accepted a credit card payment of $19.49 CAD from me for the following product (discounted price because I paid early): ''UFile ONLINE - Personal income tax (T1) return 2020 - Family head + 2 dependants''.
On April 29, 2021, I completed two tax returns, my wife's and mine.
I was able to electronically submit/file my tax return to CRA, but their system did not recognize that I had paid for the above service (i.e., for my two tax returns), so their software wanted to send my to the ''Proceed to Chekout'' page to pay for my wife's return.
My adventure with them, down the rabbit hole began when I tried to reach someone in their billing/accounts department (I've been a client since 2012) to explain my situation.
It has been impossible to reach them and speak to a human. I spent hours on the phone, on hold, first on their toll-free number, then on the Montreal one (514).
They have this automated system with """text recognition technology to provide a number of links with answers to similar questions [a full page of blah, blah]'', but it just sends people to an alternate universe.
Well, because my wife's tax return absolutely needs to be submitted on time, I ended up signing back in to my account and paying AGAIN for the service.
I have absolutely no hope, no expectation that they will contact me (see other reviews).

I did the taxes with ufile

I did the taxes with ufile. Went to pay when I was done. They double charged my credit card. There phone number doesn't work it just stays on hold so after a few days of trying I sent an email. They responded saying I was wrong so I sent them my bank statement. Then a couple weeks later they said it was being reviewed. Fast forward over a month they don't respond anymore. This place is a Scam and if you go to pay there's a possibility you will get double charged and never get your money back. Company is a joke. BEWARE

Not Free, Scam

For 2 years in a row I have been led to believe that Ufile is free for seniors on CPP. Twice now it would not let me file until I paid ~$20. What is most annoying is that I am led to believe it is free until AFTER I am finished filling in all the info - then I can't file until I pay. Will never use them again, I feel scammed.

I recommend that you don't prepaid with one of those promotional emails because you will end up paying twice. If you try to reach customer service, well good luck because no one will ever pick up the phone. Getting support by email you will get an automatic reply with suggested link to answer your question... What kind of business is this?.. They quick to take your money, even twice, but no one to support - it may be just an all Artificial Intelligent business - who knows. Bottom you get no support and remember that before signing up, you may want to pay a few more dollars and use another software.

Ufile - and luck of support service…

I have used Ufile service for many years, this year unfortunately I can't access my account and can't retrieve any files (lesson learned). I have called Ufile, but the line is constantly busy, and my emails have gone unanswered. I guess I have to start looking for a different provider. Ufile - your support service is literally non-existent and you failed me miserably.
