Incompetent

I suspect they use outsourced staff who have no clue how the UK or Europe's names are formed(Maiden, divorcees, hyphenated) because they just keep repeating themselves.
They send email alerts to referees despite none provided. They ask for phone numbers but have no provision to do so. I mean what a joke !
Lastly, they even reply to emails copying employers getting personal about your character and ability based on the emails you had with them. So they are HR as well lol.
Unprofessional.

Sadly we knew to expect your review, as despite the clear and concise resolutions from our dedicated support team function, and attention from multiple people within our company, you remained unhappy.

I will keep this brief - our screening service is reliant on the exact parameters set by our customers, the companies and organisations that hold accounts with us. We provide the ability for our customers to have their account exactly as they need and want it to be. However, we are also bound by the rules, legislation and guidance specific to the checks we provide.

Certain verifications must conform to the requirements of the check, legally. In your case this was not an issue with regards to the platform or our service, more that legal verifications in conjunction with the legal parameters of a check could not be met for specific reasons.

With regards to information sharing, our email was only a "reply all" to an email that you had already sent, providing absolute clarity on our internal processes in conjunction with legal requirements.

We take pride in our service provision, and in line with this we take pride in being absolutely credible in doing so. We take our reputation extremely seriously, and only ever take the path that is right, with integrity. We simply will not bend the rules.

I hope that you can fully understand the position that we take, as a credible background screening solution provider.

I have struggled to fully identify you from just your surname, so I have selected the "request information" option on the Trustpilot platform - I am hoping that you can provide a little more detail so that we may properly deal with the issues you have been experiencing. Please reach out to support@vetting.com if you need help - the team will always respond within 24 hours on week days, usually within a couple of hours!

From my cursory research I may have located your candidate profile - it would seem that after 1 month of the check being raised by our customer they had not remembered to manually extend the deliberate automated expiry that we set for these checks. We set such an expiry as a form of personal data information security, so that your personal details do not remain permanently live to the referees you may have selected. The option to extend the expiry is always available from our customer who would have added you to our platform.

Please do reach out if you need any support, but also if you ever have any feedback, as we are always keen to add all candidate feedback to our development journey.

Awful process

Awful process. They want a facial photo, then upload a photo of the passport and that keeps coming back as " failed" upload. Not clear on if it wants both pages or just the one. I wish companies would stop using these god awful companies with their god awful apps. They dont work and are frustrating

I am sorry to understand that your experience of our platform was no to your expectations. Whilst I was not able to link you to a candidate profile on our platform by name I would urge you to reach out and contact our friendly and speedy support team who will always help out where there are struggles.

In accordance with the guidance and legislation surrounding proof of right to work and background screening checks in general, there are only two ways of verifying a persons identity. The first way is through face to face review of a person and their identity evidence. Since COVID the government have extended this to digital processes to make the journey for both employers and prospective employees considerably easier and time efficient. As a result this is a service that we offer to our customers, who use us to onboard their talented workforces.

We must maintain very high and compliant standards to ensure the ID verification process stands scrutiny. On occasions there will be elements and factors that mean document uploads fail as a result of the entire document (all four corners) not being visible, or lighting conditions rendering the liveness checks less reliable. These are things we must allow to ensure we comply with biometric testing to be valid for its purpose.

I am not sure we can be held accountable for the decision made by a prospective employer to use an online ID verification process, which seems to be the main gripe here. Please do email in to support@vetting.com if there is anything at all that we can do to support you, now or in the future, with your use of our platform.

Niggles need ironing out

Completion of the form was ok, but small things that Vetting.com should have found and rectified by now. Eg. Why can't I get a sense of what type of information I'll need to complete at the start, and my progress throughout? I couldn't see a way to say that I still live in my current address- I had to put an end date in the future. Previous address dates needed to be exactly consecutive, even though exact dates weren't needed. Why does the driving license have a license number and a document number, and what does Region mean in this context? Why do I need to enter my National Insurance number twice? Why isn't my phone number on my profile formatted in the standard UK way? Etc etc.

First and foremost, thank you ever so much for taking the time to provide an informative review. I am very grateful for your feedback, and there will be development that ensues.

With regards to some of the elements that you have raised there are of course reasons for why the platform asks for certain things, and why there are parameters set. Firstly, there are a few fields that require duplicity - this is much like a repeat of a password, or confirmation of email addresses to ensure manual completion - this serves as a discrepancy checker that forms an intrinsic part of the necessary verification processes required to follow legislation and guidelines. In order to meet the Government guidelines surrounding ID and address verification there are certain standards that we have to meet.

With regards to your address entries, we have to have start and end dates for the entirety of address history, including your latest address. The reason for this is that on the day you are completing the information that is your address, however a person could move the following day, week, month etc. If that happens then the check would be invalidated is let as address "current" or something similar. The only factual response is that on the day of submitting the check that is your home address.

With regards to inputting information from evidence of ID documents, it is absolutely necessary to ask for all fields, as our intuitive platform runs a series of technical tests to highlight any discrepancies, again to conform to certain standards that are required. What I have taken from your feedback is that things could have been clearer to ensure ease of completion - thank you!

I do hope that this response helps both you and any prospective candidates using our platform.

Absolutely Terrible Processing System

Absolutely terrible system for a supposed vetting service.
Their system requires you to add a valid National insurance number but then won’t accept them thereby stalling the process.
Generally speaking people being vetted are doing so for important usually time sensitive reasons I.e jobs and really don’t need the unnecessary delays this company forces on you by having a defective system.
I wouldn’t advise any company to use them for their vetting services.
I am seriously considering rejecting the offer of employment with the company I’m doing this for just based on the ridiculous levels of inefficiency their choice of vetting company displays.
I really don’t need the hassle.

My sincere apologies for the experience that you initially received in using our platform. Your case received scrutiny from the Director of Operations of VETTING.com who personally reached out to ensure a comprehensive resolution for your background screening.

As discussed through the resolution there were factors outside of the control of VETTING.com that contributed to access issues that you faced when you initially commenced the screening checks. There had been a delay in the author's commencement of the checks of just over a week, and when issues were faced there was no reach out to our dedicated support team to find the resolution. Our response was therefore only possible following the receipt of the review on this platform.

VETTING.com were very pleased to be able to then support you through the process and ensure that all checks were submitted in good time following intervention. The only reason for the delay in the response to this review was down to an understanding that there was going to be a pertinent and appropriate update from the author.

I have reached out to invite you to provide more information on the issues that you faced, however received no response. I would also like to extend an invite to engage with our dedicated and committed support team should you require any help or assistance with our intuitive screening check platform.

Our platform is a safe, swift and holistic service for our customers to screen their existing and onboarding talent. As with any holistic screening service we have to ensure ID and address checking protocols are met, especially for proof of right to work, criminal and financial checks. We have integrated links with some suppliers who insist on processes that are unique to them. As a result documents do need to be positively added for each check to go through the stringent processes.

We welcome feedback, and hold regular internal meetings to ensure that the development roadmap is maintained with a well-decided priority grading.

Although I was assisted by Jade who helped me with my DBS part of the checks I am now required to submit more references and the information I have entered is not being accepted. Therefore I am not able to go forward to enable me to.work. I have emailed Vetting Company and have not had anyone reach back to me. Not happy or impressed.
