My experience with Jelena has been exceptional. She is consistently thoughtful, precise, and genuinely invested in my wellbeing. Every appointment feels collaborative — she listens deeply, explains clearly, and makes the titration process feel structured and safe. Her balance of warmth and professionalism is rare, and it’s made a huge difference to my confidence in treatment.

A special mention also goes to Olivia at reception, who has been incredibly patient, detailed, and supportive throughout. She’s one of those people who is willing to go the extra mile. More broadly, the reception team are consistently helpful, friendly, and efficient — and they’re also exceptionally good at returning calls when you leave a voicemail, which genuinely reduces stress.

I also want to highlight the initial consultation with Dr Sourabh Singh, which was kind, thoughtful, and efficient. He helped re-establish my diagnosis with clarity and care, setting a strong foundation for everything that followed.

⭐ Constructive Feedback

- Masking in diagnosis — Clearer guidance on masking would help ensure assessments fully capture symptoms. High‑performing ADHD individuals often mask instinctively, which can lower scores even when challenges are present. This only occurred after my re-diagnosis, as I realised I probably could have answered "yes" where I answered "no" because examples in the diagnostic test are potentially leading or not broad enough, or easily misinterpreted. This could also just be a constraint of the test itself. An example is "careless mistakes" would have me reflecting on work, but actually, I struggle with careless mistakes all the time with specific tasks that require a lot of new and continuous learning.

- Contact difficulty — Reaching staff by phone has felt a little harder recently. This may simply be due to seasonal pressures (summer holidays), but it’s worth keeping an eye on as demand continues to grow as I am noticing needing to call a few times or wait longer to get through. But again, you almost always get a call back and really good support even if you can't get through first time.

- Titration appointment timing — Titration meeting links often arrive right before the call (usually the minute before), and most recently even after the session had started. Sending links earlier or communicating expected timing would reduce stress and likely lower helpline call volumes.

- Feedback forms — Berkeley sends multiple feedback and self‑assessment forms, but these don’t seem to reach prescribers. Allowing feedback through these forms or signposting how they’re used would make them more meaningful.

- Non‑medical support — Clearer signposting for non‑medical ADHD support — strategies, resources, courses, books, or external services — would help patients build the behavioural side of recovery alongside medication.

Overall, my experience with Berkeley Psychiatrists has been excellent — consistently supportive, professional, and genuinely focused on patient care.

Excellent service for a right to choose provider, I haven’t experienced call wait times yet and everyone is well spoken, polite and eager to help. 4 weeks from application to first medication collected. Absolute breath of fresh air of a service.

Dr Oliver Ralley was very helpful during my ADHD diagnosis appointment, which I got very quickly (only had to wait ~2.5 weeks for an appointment). He was very patient and allowed me time to talk through all of my problems and would definitely recommend to others seeking ADHD help and guidance!

From when referral was sent through to them and when I had my appointment and got my diagnosis, the process was easy and quick. There was no pressure to go onto medication and they went through it all with me to make sure I had all the information to make the right choice for me. Very friendly and understand, made me feel relaxed and calm throughout.

Absolutely great experience with Berkeley psychiatrist. All really lovely staff and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Managed to get my diagnosis through them of ADHD with a psychiatrist who was very kind and talked me through and listened the entire time and even helped me at times understand my symptoms and the way I was feeling. And even managed a week later had an appointment with a prescriber Kate bevan to get the medication. Took a little while to get the medication but that was my own doing nothing they could have done. And every time I phoned to try and resolve the issue they were nothing but understanding and kind. Wouldn’t be able to recommend Berkeley psychiatrist any more if I tried as it was such an easy and smooth process with great communication along the way! Thank you all very much for your help and support.

I can’t rate them enough. I was contacted only a few weeks after choosing them, and my appointment was booked for the same month. The video consult was very straight forward Rachel Smith was fantastic! I’ve already recommended a friend!

After waiting nearly 2 years for an nhs referral for an adhd assessment my dr suggested right to choose. They said they had used this service before. Within 2 months I had my assessment and 2 weeks after got my prescription. I am still closely monitored till I have my correct dosage.

Staff are friendly, listen well, and are patient and understand what I am going through. I felt heard and respected every step of the way.

Very clear and thorough during our appointment. While I did ramble and go slightly off track Dr Anudha Dutta would gently bring the conversation back to the questions asked. Patient and understanding when explaining difficulties and life events. Highly recommend this service, while not cheap it's been worth it after being on NHS wait list for over 3 years and still not hearing anything from them.

Dr Hearfield listened and made me feel comfortable despite my anxieties about the assessment.

Good overall experience with right to choose adhd assessment. There was a few hiccups with info not being passed on with regards to what I needed to bring to appointments & also how to book follow ups. I spoke to the team & they sorted it out for me so no big deal!
