My 36V Ryobi battery was getting old and tired being made in the 32 week of 2024 so I decided to buy a new tool and battery priced at $600, the battery being $250 of that cost.
Upon opening the new package I find the new battery stamped at 23rd week of 2023, it's already out of its 3 years warranty.

Ordered a product via Marketplace and 10 days later the product has still not ven shipped.

We went into the Maroochydore store to swap a gas bottle. The service was great, the young lady at the entry helped us straight away. She called for assistance, the guy walked in, in than 2 minutes. I think his name was Aaron, but not sure. He was really helpful, and even shook my hand when leaving. Staff make bunnings easy and these two young people made it exactly that, so thankyou.

1. When you ring you cant talk to someone about a product straight away when you have a few small questions to ask. They just take name and number.
2. Noone returns your call for a minimum of a week or not at all. Too bad if you need something urgently.
Clearly they don't want your sales.
3. Even when you use the AI chat. You receive a txt about that concern and there again no one gets back for 4 or 5 days.
It's no excuse that there is extra demand then normal as that will always be the case. Clearly more staff is needed. As bunnings are losing lots of business. AI isn't even helpful.
The expectation is that they could at least ring back the same day. So a decision can be made accordingly.

I have just moved to Sydney from Newcastle and I frequent Bunnings regularly at Gladesville..
This week at Gladesville Bunnings, once again, I was extremely impressed with the outstanding service from the young team that are obviously being mentored by the legendary “ANDY”, the magnificent chap from Tiawan…
Travis the young gentleman who looks like Edward from twilight gave me the most fantastic service I’ve ever had from a young man in his early 20’s, then there was Brian, …over in the trade department, “On his first day, who was a wealth if knowledge and gave me some great ideas about what lengths of wood I would need to build some shelving, he was brilliant!!!!!
Last but not least is “paddy, who resembles “HARRY STYLES” out of “One direction” who also cut all my plywood to size with professionalism and wonderful customer service…
Being an ex McDonalds manager, and having trained hundreds of teenagers of my lifetime, I must give credit to whoever is picking these young, vibrant “switched on” charismatic employees, they are such great friendly workers that always give 100% service every time anyone comes to spend thier money in your store..
These young people are the face of your Bunnings brand, and seriously…
…they are doing an amazing job..

Went to Bunnings Sunshine to buy a toolbox and trolley set but the staff had no interest in assisting me. They rolled their eyes and disappeared when I needed help. I waited 20 minutes for someone to come so I walked out and told them I was going to Supercheap across the road. Supercheap had plenty of staff, who were happy to help. I got better value for money from Supercheap as well. Bad luck Bunnings, you have lost my custom FOR LIFE. I remember a time when if someone came in willing to spend $800 staff used to jump at you. One star is too good, it should be zero stars.

Devious overpriced crap. A pair of small hinges $13. Went to the $2 shop and the same size hinges were $2.50.

A RIP OFF CON STORE.

My wife has a bad back and needs to sit down at times. There are no seats anymore in the greenfields store. The explanation is that the benchs are a trip hazard!! No consideration for the many people who may need to rest. Not good Bunnings! And what about all the trip hazards with stock in the isles?

I went to the little Cafe to get coffee and the young girl Jade took the first coffee order and then I wanted a coffee with skin milk and Jade snapped at me and said that we don't have any. I asked if they had any other light milk and Jade snapped again and said that they didn't. Jade was very very rude to me. Not good Bunnings.

I've been shopping at Bunnings for years and defending it against the naysayers who predicted they would destroy their opposition first, then the prices would increase and the service deteriorate. Well! Here we are years later and little opposition. It seems my experience lately is much the same as many others. Hard to find product (even when the website suggests it is there). Have we noticed how staff (once happy to serve) are now ducking for cover and taking phone calls to look preoccupied as you approach them with a question. I have been nicely surprised by the odd staff member that is willing and knowledgeable when approached, but this would be an anomaly these days. You can determine a lot about the management of a business by the response you get as a customer from the staff. In the distant past, we as customers were sure to get a friendly smile and a helpful directive; now we have to be content with a confused walk about the aisles in the hope the website is accurate regarding stock available. Maybe one day another hardware chain will venture into this land with the same vision as Bunnings did some years ago and give them the opposition that will force them to rethink better service to a frustrated public.

These stores are amazing, helpful and knowledgeable staff, extensive range of products and heaps of community kid friendly events throughout the year.

I've shopped at Bunnings ever since it opened and have always been of the opinion that Bunnings is the best until now, when I witnessed the business show greed that speaks volumes about them. I shared my good news with some of the staff at Blacktown store, about how I painted my house ceiling and loungeroom walls for $45 from the clearance trolley, using used sample pots cleared for $2-4 and a damaged half empty, used 4l tin for $15. Ever since, the exact same that was $2 is now $10 and used paint tins are only slightly cheaper than full price. Now, there is no opinion for high effort low cost house paint, because bunnings heard someone did their house too cheap. No one knows details apart from price though, it was painting your house out of 250-500ml different opened, tinted, used, sample pots, bought one at a time over time ...hello, its Max effort for Min$. But not now.

The staff at Fairfield Bunnings are the most unhelpful and rudest staff I have ever come across in any business. To say I am shocked is an understatement. They close registers when there are people waiting and they never want to help

I really love Bunnings. It's actually my favourite store. However, they sell orchids that are set up to die and I want to show you how much I paid versus what I received.

For a whole $35.00 I got two beautiful stalks that were stuffed into a ceramic pot with blocked drainage holes. I knew that this meant a high chance of death for this plant.

I brought it home and of course half the roots were dead or rotting and I had to repot with a massive cull which risks the survival of an orchid in bloom.

I wonder if all their plants are potted incorrectly like this or just the orchids that are infamous for being difficult.
Very much in corporate best interest but not the consumers for the plant to survive.

I visited Bunnings Smithfield on 12 September 2026 at approximately 4:30 pm to request a replacement for a Ryobi Airwave RA-NBS1664-S nail gun after a nail became stuck inside it.

A team member initially indicated that a replacement could proceed. However, after referring the matter to a manager, the replacement was refused because the tool had been used for trade work.

My concern is the conflicting advice and the lack of clarity about the restriction being applied. The online product description does not explicitly exclude trade use, while the manual lists cabinetry, shelving and furniture assembly as intended applications. I understand these applications do not automatically establish commercial warranty coverage.

I would like Bunnings to explain the specific applicable warranty clause, clarify the assessment of the jam and review whether a replacement or another remedy is available.

Worst online shopping ever. Ordered floating shelf from Bundaberg store,delivered in a plastic bag offering no protection,badly damaged. Contacted store and they advised me to contact the supplier! Eventually received a replacement shelf,again,in a plastic bag,this time the product had scuff marks on the surface. 🤬

They promote themselves as DIY yet don't stock products like predrilled melamine in 600 mm so you can build your own cabinets. Highly likely because they stock ready made cabinets at exorbitant prices. They have rude unhelpful and unknowlegdable staff. They also put small hardware shops out if business.

This is the best shop i spend hrs going up and down every isle and the prices are fantastic 👌🏿 love Bunnings 💯

This organization lack coordination's between Petone and NAENAE trades department. I ordered my building products and paid on 18/8/2026, 3 weeks ago and confirmed delivery date 8/9/26. I rang them 7:30 am, the Naenae delivery and confirmed my building materials are on the track today. Near 5pm still waiting. I rang them 4 times since this morning and following up . The lady who answered my late call is un- helpful and my opinion lack customer manners and no intention to assist my queries. It's like facing a brick wall. She is raising the issue for me to go back to petone branch where I placed my orders. The petone trade department arranged all my building materials requirements to be delivery to my property. It's seemed to me this 2 branches don't communicate each other. As a customer, is not my job to sort out their internal breakdown communication. I paid my dues and they need to deliver the goods.

In regards to your leaf/scoop rake. Maybe you should of went with the original idea that was presented to you 10 years ago. As a inventor I've spent 17 years nutting out the problems and this is terrible. Lucky I have the opposite.
