It was so easy to book with Shearings
It was so easy to book with Shearings, just phoned and spoke to the gentleman and he was so helpful.
We couldn't get our original choice as there were no stops near to us but he suggested another area which we have never been to and we are so looking forward to going on the New Year trip.

Little Mid-week Break to Isle of White
Very smooth collection from our pick up point to the services to join main coach. Very efficient staff organising the cases into the correct coaches. Journeyed to Portsmouth where we had a couple hours free before boarding ferry so was able to wonder around the quay & shopping centre which was very nice. Journey over & to the hotel was smooth & the driver Derek was pointing out landmarks as we went. Hotel we stayed in was The Brunswick at Shanklin. Had nice gardens & overlooked the sea. It was basic but comfortable & clean. The staff were so friendly & the was absolute amazing! Nice choices each day for breakfast & dinner. We did a trip round the island, Cowes visit with boat trip & did the Osbourne House trip. All nice days out & very interesting. Our driver Derek was very experienced & how he got that coach around some of the small lanes & villages is beyond me! Journey home was smooth although very early start. Why Shearings booked at 9 am ferry home is surprising as we had hours to kill once back on the main land. However Derek dropped us all in Winchester so we had a few hours to explore & have lunch out which was a bonus. Over all we had a lovely time & thought it was an excellent little break & great value for money. 😊

I have just returned from a trip to…
I have just returned from a trip to Whitby, Scarborough and the North York Moors... 12th Oct to 16th Oct. This is my first time travelling with Sherrings.
I found the booking process very easy and the staff were extremely helpful professional and friendly...I was sent lots of information about the trip etc. I received all the information I required about my upcoming trip well before departure so I had time to arrange everything.
I was shocked at the very early departure that I needed to take but just decided it was all part of the excitement of my holiday. I had to travel to the first pick up point where a taxi took me to my second point to transfer to the feeder bus, this all ran very smoothly without any problems, we then had to travel around to pick up other passengers but the driver was very helpful and friendly and kept us all informed of stops and destinations.. We had a few stops so we could stretch our legs etc... We arrived at the stop where we would all join our coach for the onward tour, we were given times and lots of information about this.. On the actual tour bus we were given allocated seats and the driver Jeff gave us lots of information on times stops etc... The bus was very comfortable and clean.
We arrived at our hotel which was very nice, clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. All meals were very nice. The trips out were great, and our driver Jeff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, he really made sure that all his passengers were looked after and had the best experiences of their holiday.. He really went above and beyond to make this trip enjoyable and memorable for his passengers..
On departure it was a early start again but we had a decent stop to stretch legs etc before we reached our second coach to take us to our drop off destinations, my only small issue was that it took me 12-13hrs from start to finish travelling which I probably hadn't realised when I booked... and on the return journey we didn't get any rest stops until we were told we had to do a change in Bristol, unscheduled, to change buses which we hadn't been informed about earlier..and we weren't given much information as to why this was happening, before getting to the actual drop off point to meet the taxi to take me back to my original pick up point..this means I had to change transport 4 times plus my own transport to my house.. Apart from that I had a absolutely fabulous holiday and will definitely do more Sherrings tours now I understand that there is a lot of travel time day 1 and 5 but the days in between are so good so I myself thought it is worth it

Nice time.
I’m not sure if this review is about my latest holiday or my latest booking, but my holiday was very good the hotel was nice recently refurbished the driver on the coach was excellent breakfast was lovely evening meal was ok but I think that was because the hotel had to cater for so many people at the same time.
My latest booking the lady I spoke too was very nice.

An interesting holiday
An interesting holiday, sadly marred at the beginning, by the fact that the Steam Packet vessel, Manxman, was in dry dock, and we had to travel on the Ben my Chree. However the cosiness, of the seating arrangements on board, did allow us to get to know our fellow passengers. The island itself, was quite beautiful in places, but the train ride up the mountain, was sadly marred by the weather, so we were unable to see the Four Nations, the vagaries of British weather. The train rides themselves were great.
The Best Western Palace hotel, in Douglas however, was quite dated in its appearance, the rooms were clean, towels and bedding were clean and changed, and tea and coffee topped up regularly. The bathroom however, needed to upgraded, along with the decor and facilities of the hotel itself. The food although hot was in my opinion, mediocre, some vegetables overcooked, some under cooked. We could not fault the hotel staff, they were attentive, and helpful. Our coach was very comfortable, and our driver Paul, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the Island and its residents and history.
